Using Random Word - "BOX"

-Container/Storage : the box can keep stuffs in it,acts as a container.
-Surprise: You will never know what is inside of the box,it is just like a SURPRISE box.
-Portable: A box is a container that can be carry around,it is portable, you can bring it to other places.

Random word & image association

We learned a new topic about Random Association  in the lecture this week. Random Association is a random word technique, the most basic and way to generate new creative ideas. In this technique, random word were used to solve a problem. By forcing ourself to create a solution from a random keyword, we will be able to generate more ideas from different points of views.In conclusion, this technique is a good way to generate ideas.

Situation/ problem

-How to make a person stop smoking in 6 months time?

Analogy exercise

Love is just like chili.

It is hot when you taste it.

But when you addicted,

You will never stop consuming it.

Pain is just like Ice- cream

Ice cream  gives us a instantly cold,

but addicted to it will brings with extream pain of  headache and toothache.

Women are just like the mortar, and men are the pestle,

while men smash into the ingredients, women absorb the impact.

Examples of Juxtaposition

A simple pictures tell a thousand words.

Juxtaposition refers to the stimulation of creativity in problem solving, design or other creative pursuit by confronting two unrelated concepts or objects, usually the goal or problem to be solved on the one hand and a randomly selected object or concept on the other. Similar to an oxymoron.



It also can be used in verbally or in text.

It's raining, but I am not taking an umbrella.
We will be giving a party for our new students. We won't, however, be serving drinks.
The student knew about the test on Friday, but still he did not study.

Juxtapostion

JUXTAPOSITION

 

DEFINITION :

- A placing or being placed in nearness or contiguity, or side by side; as a juxtaposition of words.

- There's a little conflict between left brain & right brain when you trying to figure out the similarity & differences between this two object.

 

METAPHOR

- Is a figure of speech in which 2 different things are linked by some similarity.

- Comparison that are obvious are not consider metaphors. Therefore, metaphors occur, when 2

different ideas are being connected in imaginative ways and agreed to be dissimilar at first.

Juxtapose is place side by side.
Juxtaposed is placed side by side often for comparison.

So, a simple explanation for juxtaposition is placing 2 different element to achieve a interactive and comparison visual effect

 

SIMILES

- A figure of speech in which two fundamentally unlike things are explicitly compared, usually in a phrase introduced by as or like.

 

 

mind mapping 2 - Associated Mind Map

Learned about "Method of Creative Thinking" which are about mind mapping. this week, the lecture is focusing on Associated Mind Map.differ from Logical Mind Map every words and images is away from the main central subject, while every words and images are link to the main central subject in a logical mindmap.

Imagine we're in 201010, and we are archeologists. Then we stumbled upon the mortar and pestle. Think of a way it was used it 2010.

A mortar and pestle is a tool used to crush, grind, and mix solid substances.

Music

Pestle can be used to smack on different size of mortars to produce sound as percussion music.

Art

by using the characteristic of  pestle and mortal, coloring material can be mixed in mortal and draw or paint on ground or big canvas, mortar can also be the mold of creating pattern.

Accessories 

mortar and pestle can be worn as fashion accessories
